ACW units using vintage castings

In addition to my ACW "dodgy castings" project, I have a small number of units or part-units using originial figures. I am posting some pictures of these. There are also some S Range units I have posted on the Lone S Ranger blog and some by other manufacturers (Rose and Minifigs 20mm) I am posting on The Old Metal Detector. As often with ACW figures the Confederates with a more "Regulars" look mainly use nominally Union figures.

The picture here is an unnamed unit using CS6 Confederate infantry charging in broad-brimmed hat and blanket roll.

ACW project: artillery

The first figures I have painted up are the artillerymen - 19 Union and 18 Confederate (at least the way I've painted them). Given the quality of the castings and of my painting, they have turned out surprisingly well. I have block painted them, based on coins, and sealed with plastidip - a habit transferred from my method for plastics.
I have no artillery pices for these figures to man and am on the look out for good suggestions. t the moment I am thinking Jacklex, but would like the option of Parrots, Armstrongs etc. I don't know if the Newline pieces would match for sixe. I am also on the lookout for some guns which would be suitable for Minifigs S Range crews.

ACW project: Confederate and Union Generals CS 7 and US 7

My regimental and brigade commanders should come from this group. From L to R, two CS 7, one US 7 painted as Confederate, the converted FN 11 napoleonic French Infantry Officer in Greatcoat charging previously posted, and four US 7.
