AP40 Great King Darius on his portable throne

A bit of a Carry On moment but yes really, that's how the figure is described. I must thank Alan who incredibly generously sent this and the other Persian figures appearing on the blog today.

AP41 was an attendant with royal umbrella to complement this piece - at the moment I have no picture of this figure.

Persian Immortals

The Persian range seems to have had three groups each of five infantry figures (Immortals, Royal Guard and Medes).

The codes for the Immortal figures are:

AP1 Officer with axe
AP2 Standard bearer
AP3 Immortal firing bow
AP4 Immortal thrusting with spear
AP5 Immortal marching with spear

The marching pose seems to be different from those for the other two groups, which apper to be similar to the standard bearer but carryong a spear with a round sphere at the base. However, I may very well be wrong about this - any information by comment gratefuly received.

The picture shows four of these figures, the standard bearer being missing.

Persian Royal Guard

Another five figure group, with the same range of poses as the Immortals and Medes.

The codes are:
AP6 Officer with axe
AP7 Standard bearer
AP8 Guardsman firing bow
AP9 Guardsman thrusting with spear
AP10 Guardsman with spear marching
The picture shows four of these figures, with AP9 being the odd one out

Medes

There seem to have been five Medes. in similar poses to the Persians and Royal Guard.

Their codes are:

AP11 Officer with axe
AP12 Standard bearer
AP13 Mede firing bow
AP14 Mede thrusting with spear
AP15 Mede marching with spear

The picture shows (I think) L to R AP15, AP14 and AP12
