The Netherlands 1814-15

The original catalogue description states:

The Dutch-Belgian contingent made up the second largest part of Wellington's Army during the Waterloo campaign and did much good fighting and with the troops of Nassau they held Quatre-Bras giving time for the British to come up. The Dutch Belgian Infantry wore blue uniforms of British style with Waterloo shakos.

Nations allied against Napoleon - Germans and Dutch Belgians

The original catalogue description states:

The following small nations played an inportant role in the war against France giving valuable support to the British Army.

Unfortunately, due to some unflattering remarks by contemporary writers, a wholly false picture of the fighting abilities of these troops has been built up. However, a study of the facts proves the high quality of these men.
