As a taster for the forthcoming Old Metal Detector blog, here is an Alberken Union cavalryman - note how similar in style he is to Hinton Hunt one piece casting cavalry. Alberken were the earliest incarnation of Minifigs; there was a very small range, available factory painted if you wanted them. The Alberken figures became the basis for the Minifigs 20mm range, which in turn was replaced by the "true 25mm" S Range. The best place to read up on this story is here at the Vintage 20 mil site.
